Joshua G Levine
I’m Joshua Levine, a researcher, writer, and editor. I have 13+ years of experience writing and editing articles for a variety of arts and culture publications. Since 2020, I've been a student of public policy -- first in Tucson, AZ and now at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. From 2023 on, I've conducted two studies on disinformation (one as a lead researcher and one as a student research assistant) for the Global and Inclusive Learning Centre at The Hague University. That research led me to develop a toolkit of digital media literacy resources, present my findings several times, and host an episode of the university's podcast series. The coursework I designed to promote media literacy will appear in classrooms starting in the fall of 2025.
I split my time between Tucson and The Hague, and I enjoy travelling and exploring with my wife. Music is my first love, and I like to play the guitar and listen to old punk and R&B records. I also like to see modern art in museums, watch Golden Age Hollywood movies, and read about history.
Most governments and NGOs think that disinformation is one of the biggest threats to democratic societies in the short and long term. I am very passionate about promoting media literacy and trying to make a dent in solving this problem. To that end, all of my work can be customised for your students, your team, your trainings and more. If you also feel strongly, or would otherwise like to contact me about any of these subjects, please send me an email.
